About the market
FS is a student management system, in use at 44 institutions, and it
covers about 97% of higher education in Norway.

About the System
FS has modules for handling student mobility, covering the registration of agreements regarding the exchange of students and information about each exchange student. Further on a module for recognition of external studies, connected to the students individual study plan.

FS has a WebService arcitecture for the exchange of information against other systems, built on both Soap and Rest. There are standard interfaces for the following (type of) systems/functions:
- national admission system
- user information system /
- national and local study information portal
- learner management systems
- reporting to government
- student information to national library system
- state educational loan fund
- ...import and export of student information for different purposes
